Trooli

Trooli Standard Installation Overview

  • The completion of fibre cabling works to deliver the FTTP connection from the nearest Trooli network point to the external wall of the property.
  • Installation of an External Wall Box (EWB).
  • The supply and installation of the OTO and ONT within the subscriber premises within 5 meters of the EWD and within close proximity of two (2) UK power sockets.
Appointment Slots
Appointments Slots are Monday to Friday (excluding UK Bank Holidays):
  • 09:00 – 17:00

 

Trooli Non - Standard Installation Overview

  • Additional infrastructure work on the Trooli network to connect the premises.
  • Installation of an External Wall Box (EWB).
  • The supply and installation of the OTO and ONT within the subscriber premises within 5 meters of the EWD and within close proximity of two (2) UK power sockets.
Appointment Slots
Appointments Slots are Monday to Friday (excluding UK Bank Holidays):
  • 09:00 – 17:00

 

Freedom Fibre

Freedom Fibre Standard Installation

A Standard Installation includes the following:

  • 100-meter external connection to The Suppliers nearest Network point, excluding Construction costs which will be captured during the initial survey.
  • 15-meters of external cabling to the building entry point deployed using the most appropriate method.
  • 15-meters of internal cabling from the building entry point to the ONT Termination point deployed using the most appropriate method.
The Partner must ensure:
 
  • Power must be available to support the ONT within 2m of the proposed location.
If any the criteria above are not met, Freedom Fibre may abort the Installation and may charge the customer an Aborted Installation Fee.
 
Freedom Fibre reserves the right to change the customer committed date (CCD) at any point.


Freedom Fibre Non - Standard Installation

Non-Standard Installations are subject to a Non-Standard Installation fee. A Non-Standard Installation includes the Standard Installation items outlined above, plus:
 
  • Additional work outside  of the standard installation detailed above
  • Additional network infrastructure work on the Freedom Fibre network to connect the premises
A site survey is required to determine the viability of the installation, incurring the survey fee set out in the ancillary charges section of the rate card. Excess Construction Charges (ECCs) will apply and must be accepted by the partner before work can proceed.
  
The Partner must ensure:
 
  • Availability of two (2) power sockets in close proximity of the desired ONT location to allow power provision to the ONT and CPE.
If any the criteria above are not met, Freedom Fibre may abort the Installation and may charge the customer an Aborted Installation Fee.
 
The time taken by Freedom Fibre to complete a Non-Standard Installation may extend beyond the time of the Confirmed Appointment Slot due to any additional complexities to the Installation as against a Standard Installation. Freedom Fibre reserves the right to change the customer committed date (CCD) at any point.

CityFibre

CityFibre Extended Standard Installation Overview

  • Fibre cable from the CityFibre Toby box to the access point to the property is no greater than 15 meters.
  • Installation of the optical network terminal (ONT) within 10 metres of the access point to the property.
  • Installation of the optical network terminal (ONT) on the same floor as the access point to the property.
  • Installation of the optical network terminal (ONT) within 1.5 metres of 230V power socket.
  • An Additional Survey(s) is required to be undertaken by CityFibre - Survey Fee applies.
  • A Wayleave needs to be obtained for any access reasons.
Appointment Slots

CityFibre provide two options:

  • AM - 08:00 to 13:00
  • PM - 13:00 to 18:00

All are Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays.

Openreach

Standard Managed Install

  • Install NTE socket within 1m of the nearest power socket to the point of entry to the building.
  • Connect Partner provided router.
  • Connect 1 device*.
  • Demonstrate sync speed to responsible adult (householder / proprietor).

Premium Managed Install

In addition to standard installation tasks:

  • Install NTE socket up to 30m from the point of entry to the building.
  • Install up to 2 data extension kits

Advanced Managed Install

In addition to premium installation tasks:

  • Connect the ONT inside the premises up to 100m from the Customer Splice Point (CSP). 100m includes the internal and external wiring distance from the CSP.
  • Provide one external wall drill and one internal non-concrete wall drill if required.
  • Use existing open cable tray work, work through ceiling or floor tiles that are removable and accessible and use in-situ cabling (structured cabling).

* Connectable devices include Set Top Boxes, PCs, Laptops and Smartphones, but does not include games consoles, Wi-Fi extenders, NAS, Servers or similar more complex devices. Devices not previously connected at the customer’s premises will not be connected.

BT Openreach SVR Update - 1st June 2025:

BT Openreach has changed how Site Visit Reasons (SVRs) are determined, now using mapping to Ordnance Survey categories. This affects how our fibre hub displays SVR options (installation options) - it will only show the minimum SVR(s) available for each site's mapped category, which may result in fewer installation options being displayed for some locations.
